Overall ratings
Just your average lounge. It served its purpose but nothing more.
This is one of the nicest airport lounges I have ever been to. It is clean and airy with high ceilings. The black leather lounge chairs are very comfortable, some of the grey sofas don’t look quite as inviting. There are some very nice single pods overlooking the airfield with lounge chairs and a divider providing a bit of privacy.
Now on to the food. There is a very diverse selection of cold salads, sandwiches made with phyllo dough, and an astoundingly good pureed soup. There were several hot selections, mostly with a Greek tilt, all of which were quite good.
There was a self-serve liquor and wine bar with my only quibble being the typical European no ice policy.
We had a significant layover in ATH and I couldn’t have been more comfortable and pleasantly surprised in this lounge.
Modern and clean lounge. Nice selection of food and drinks. Good design. It might be bad luck but the times i’ve been there its been always very crowded.
