The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at Vancouver international airport in Concourse E serves exclusively passengers traveling to the United States. Finding the entrance can be tricky—after going through security, make your way to gate 84, and look for a glass door on your right just ahead of the gate. An elevator will take you to the lounge located on the mezzanine level.
The Air Canada Maple Leaf lounge welcomes Air Canada premium passengers and club members, as well as Star Alliance Gold passengers. Other customers may use the nearby Plaza Premium Lounge for a fee.

The stylish reception area is flanked by a quiet and secluded seating area, with comfortable seats and table-top seating offering a prime view on the tarmac. The luminous space is enhanced by hardwood floors, indoor plants, and lightweight wood partitions.
Further inside the lounge is additional seating by the windows. The layout is slightly more compact, with a variety of seating options catering to couples and groups. Most seats come with a personal side table or a coffee table. There is also a nook in the back with a handful of pleasantly isolated seats.
The heart of the lounge is a large atrium-like area overlooking the concourse. With an elaborate indoor garden complete with a tree, elegant hardwood floors, and ample natural light coming from the windows and the sky domes, the convivial and inviting room offers a genuine escape from the busy concourse environment.

At the center is a buffet and dining area, while at the periphery is another seating area, cheerfully furnished with playful colors and shapes. A curved communal table delineates the separation between the dining area and seating area.
The Maple Leaf lounge is a generously dimensioned and truly convivial space with a unique personality. A notable flaw however is the overall lack of power points. With only a few outlets along the walls, and none even at the high tables by the windows which are typically a favorite of laptop users, the club is poorly designed for business travelers or the typical electronic device-bearing modern traveler.

The food offerings at the transborder Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at Vancouver airport are modest. At breakfast time, patrons will find hard broiled eggs, pastries and oatmeal. Throughout the day, a selection of snacks and finger food is available.
On the beverage front, Air Canada offers espresso, as well as soft drinks and juices—look for the unmarked cooler next to the tap beer dispenser. After 11am, self-service complimentary alcoholic beverages are available, including Canadian beer on tap, wines, and liquor.

Next to the bathrooms across the reception desk is a single oversized and fully accessible shower suite equipped with a shower, a sink, a toilet, a baby changing table, and copious amounts of space to change. Towels are provided, along with bath products in wall-mounted dispensers. Curiously, there is no coat hook, and the room could benefit from new tile, but the availability of a shower is a small luxury at a transborder lounge.
Adjacent to the main seating area is a cozy circular conference room for four, equipped with a round table and a conference phone. The room is available to all passengers on a first come, first serve basis, and doubles as a phone room or individual private work space.
Other amenities include a dedicated Wi-Fi access point (though the speed of the connection varies), a charging station with a variety of cables for electronic devices, and a large selection of newspapers and magazines.

Access to Maple Leaf Lounges, Air Canada Cafés, and Signature Suites is limited to three hours prior to scheduled departure time. This policy does not apply during flight connections or flight delays.
Additional guests may accompany qualifying passengers for $20 CAD per person before 11 a.m. and for $30 CAD per person after 11 a.m.

Absolutely the worst lounge I have visited!
I had a long transit in Vancouver, so I booked business class. When I checked it, I had to debate with the ladies at the counter for five minutes who kept telling me I was economy (despite my boarding pass stating business). I gave up and told them that I was going in and if they needed me, they would need to find me.
The WIFI did not work. I reported this and during my four hour stay, nothing was done.
The food was terrible!! During the four hour stay, there was no change food. Luke warm (almost cold) soup, nachos and wraps. There was no fresh fruit. It was the afternoon, there were no biscuits, cakes, crackers or dips. I would not buy the food they served.
I am shocked at how bad it was! I was tempted to leave and have some food outside.
