The ANA Lounge at Tokyo Narita airport Terminal 1 Satellite 4 is the Japanese carrier’s primary club at their sprawling home base. The lounge welcomes Star Alliance premium and Gold passengers departing on ANA and partner flights.
First Class and ANA Diamond Service guests are invited to use the more exclusive Suite Lounge on the upper level. ANA also operates a second business class lounge in Satellite 5.
ANA Lounge NRT design
The ANA Lounge at Tokyo Narita Terminal 1 Satellite 4 features an elegant yet subdued design. The airline’s signature alliance of black and white stone, leather furniture, and accent lighting gives the club a strong visual identity with Japanese undertones. The decor is a sober, yet timelessly elegant and peaceful.
Unfortunately, the lounge lacks windows and thus daylight, and despite the intrinsic qualities of ANA’s décor, the cavernous space lacks vibrancy and dynamism. (For daylight and views, head over to the ANA Lounge at Satellite 5, although the latter closes early in the evening.)
The open layout does not sacrifice privacy, thanks to low partitions which carve out intimate seating areas and limit the line of sight. Elegant lightweight dividers and two elevated dining areas further break up the space.
All seats come with a generously-sized side table with a built-in power outlet, and coat hangers and lamps dot the space.
Two intimate and convivial dining areas, located on either side of the lounge, offer a serene retreat serene retreat with fine hardwoods, indoor plants, and an enticing sake display.
ANA Lounge NRT amenities
The ANA Lounge at Tokyo Narita airport by gates 41-47 boasts a complete range of amenities for international travel.
The buffet features a modest selection of snacks, mini-sandwiches, vegetable sushi, soups, and salads. In addition, guests will find two noodle bars, located within the dining areas, where they can order a variety of cooked-to-order dishes such as udon, soba, fried noodles, and curries. Meals are ready in just a few minutes and served on an elegant traditional wooden tray.
The self-service drink selection includes an assortment of fresh fruit juices, soda, and a few wines. A popular highlight is the automated beer machine, which tilts glasses for the perfect pour. Within the dining areas are a rotating sake and shochu selection, elegantly presented in traditional porcelain dispensers.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the lounge. A large business center features individual work cubicles equipped with individual lamps and power outlets. Other business amenities include computers, a printer, and phone booths.
Guests will find a few semi-private spaces outfitted with recliners. There is also large slumber area with day beds, located in the rear of the lounge, all the way to the left from the lobby beyond the dining area. The heavy black curtain may feel intimidating and lacks elegance, but it certainly does a great job at blocking noise and light.
The lounge boasts several pristine shower suites equipped with a large shower, a toilet with a washlet, a sink, and ample space to change. Temperature and water pressure are excellent, and a amenities include towels, a washcloth, a toothbrush, a razor, a comb, and Shisheido products in individual packets. There may be a wait at peak times, so inquire early at the shower reception in order to be added to the wait list.
Other amenities include a private changing area in the bathroom, a smoking room, a currency exchange machine, and a selection of newspapers and magazines. At peak times, a Concierge is available to assist guests with a variety of inquiries and services.
ANA Lounge NRT bottom line
The ANA Lounge at Tokyo Narita airport Terminal 1 Satellite 4 is a comfortable and well-appointed lounge, with an inviting range of amenities including cooked-to-order food, shower suites, semi-private spaces, and a large napping room.
The space could use a touch up and the décor, while sober to a fault, is elegant and serene. Unfortunately, the lack of windows and daylight makes the lounge somewhat unattractive for long stays. As an alternative, consider the ANA Lounge at Satellite 5 (open until 6:30 PM, and easily accessible through the underground connector between Satellites 4 and 5) or the United Club in the central building. Both are located further away from the gates, but feature large windows and tarmac views.
- The semi-private spaces.
- The noodle bar and sake selection.
- The shower suites.
- The lack of windows and daylight.

I loved the washlets;) I agree that the lack of windows was a bit of problem, otherwise this is a very nice lounge.
A good business class lounge all around. We’d give it 5 stars if it was less crowded and had windows.
