Overall ratings
Beer tap, out of order. Wine in cooler but after sipping on a glass for about 15 minutes the staff took it from me because apparently it’s too early. Don’t have it accessible then with wine glasses on hand. Food was reminiscent of a budget hotels breakfast offerings
International, concourse D, up elevator: Almost all seats were occupied on a Tuesday 3:00-4:30 pm.
Buffet: some items were labelled gluten-free, dairy-free, etc.; only the chili was labelled vegan, and a sign advised to ask staff. I was offered two warm-up vegan meals: shepherd’s pie and meatballs. I chose shepherd’s pie, it was brought to me, hot, in 10-15 minutes, along with a half-slice of (gluten-free) bread. The shepherd’s pie was very good. No vegan desserts.
Shower available for a fee.
The Aspire Lounge at Calgary International Airport is not recommended.
The lounge was crowded and the atmosphere was uninviting. The furniture was uncomfortable and the food lacked variety and freshness. The customer service was basic and there was a lack of going above and beyond for the customer. The lounge was only passably clean and the Wi-Fi was only the standard airport Wi-Fi which was not very fast. Although there were small cubicles where you can recline comfortably, there were only three of these and they were always in use. The toilets were diabolical with only one male toilet and one urinal. One toilet per gender for the whole lounge. It was so bad that I decided to use the main toilets in the airport.
Just awful. Food, drinks and quality of lounge is Awful. Most airline staff apologise if you mention it. Go see Jimmy who runs Vin the wine bar in the airport, it has seats, power, good food and excellent wines and beers. This lounge is an embarrassment to the terminal and the airlines who pay for you to use it. Has been the same since it opened. One 5 minute visit and you will be out.
No glasses, no seats and only one member of staff about to help. The wifi is just the normal airport hotel and it was quicker to was a dirty glass yourself in the washroom than wait for some clean ones to be put out. All in all if BA are offering this lounge for their business passengers then I am flying with another airline next time into a different airport. Very poor.
Lounge at yyc is poor. Food was hardly warm at all and no effort was made to clear the tables even with very few patrons.
There is very little atmosphere and is not worth the money
