Situated at the heart of Terminal 2 between Piers A and B, the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport welcomes all passengers on a pay-in basis, as well as members of the popular Priority Pass program. The club is one of the few third-party lounges at CPH; other options include the Aspire Lounge (located in the vicinity) and the Eventyr Lounge (situated in Pier C, in the non-Schengen area.)
The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge is co-located with the CPH Apartment Lounge, a more up-scale facility which is reserved for airline-invited guests. When you peek at the crowds in the main Carlsberg-branded area, you’ll no doubt wish you had access to the Apartment Lounge.
Carlsberg Aviator Lounge CPH design
Perched on the mezzanine level, the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge at Copenhagen Airport overlooks the bustling concourse, but doesn’t feature any exterior views, and receives limited daylight. Lounge space at Copenhagen Airport is somewhat of an afterthought; the airport authority has clearly allocated premium real estate to retail stores and restaurants.
As the name suggests, the club is sponsored by Carlsberg, though the design is remarkably elegant, with only subtle co-branding elements. In fact, the Carlsberg logo etched in wood in the lobby adds flair and cachet to the ensemble.
The highlight of the design is the gorgeous buffet area, which sports dramatic curved wood slats. The dining room is vaguely reminiscent of a beer garden, with high communal tables. Otherwise, the décor is more mundane; the club is L-shaped and features several seating areas with cool designer vintage bulbs and the occasional indoor plant.
Near the entrance, across the buffet area is a lower, recessed room with a communal table, which while oddly shaped, tends to be relatively quiet. There are also a number of high-backed seats which foster a feeling of privacy. Otherwise, don’t expect much personal space—the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge routinely operates at capacity, and is too small to cope with demand at peak times.
You’ll find power outlets along the walls, though unfortunately there are none in the dining area.
Carlsberg Aviator Lounge CPH amenities
The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge at Copenhagen Airport offers a range of essential amenities aimed at short-haul travelers.
The modest food selection includes cold cuts, crudites, cheese, and snacks. There are no hot options, and you won’t be able to enjoy a real meal at the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge, but everything is of relatively high quality, and we love the elaborate rotating cheese slicers.
All beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are self-served, and the highlight is, naturally, the selection of Carlsberg beers on tap.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available, though there are no other business amenities to speak of.
The club has private bathrooms, but no showers (unlike the Eventyr Lounge in the non-Schengen zone.)
Carlsberg Aviator Lounge CPH bottom line
Save for a few design and architectural features, the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport is an unremarkable, run-of-the mill club. The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge delivers on the basics—comfortable seating, power outlets, snacks and beverages, Wi-Fi—but the club is chronically crowded, and food options are sparse. There’s, of course, Carlsberg beer on tap, but then again, that’s also the case at every other lounge at CPH.
The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge and the Aspire Lounge, the two main pay-per-use facilities in the Schengen area, offer substantially the same features and amenities, and are both equally underwhelming, so we recommend that you choose your lounge based on the location of your departure gate. The Eventyr Lounge in the non-Schengen area is more spacious and better appointed, but should you choose to visit while departing from Piers A or B, you should allocate ample time to make the trek to Pier C and go through passport control twice.
- The beautifully-designed buffet area.
- The cheese slicers!

Overall ratings
Posting some photos of the space.
I’m kind of aurp by the low ratings. The lounge is spacious and have lots of natural light. It’s bar table style seating but there are a lot of seats. Food selection is decent too. Lots of salada, bread and cheese.
Centrally located in the airport. Pretty small, not a lot of seating, very uncomfortable bench seating. Pretty loud, medium clean, crowded. Food choice is small, fresh, but pretty bland. No warm food served, not even Soup. Beverage choice is okay, especially beer choice. Not many power outlets. Staff seemed reserved. Would prefer Aspire.
Mostly uncomfortable seating, no liquor but decent white wine. Limited food, but a few ok items so that you can make a light lunch.
Poor selection of things. No chairs available. No charging points. Its better to spend your money on a beer in a pub downstairs.
Plenty of seating in different areas on two levels.
Selection of breakfast items was modest, choice of beverages ok. One main buffet on the main level near the entrance and one beverage station at the lowel level.
Free WIFI, newspapers and magazines.
