Unlike a traditional airport lounge, Capital One Landing is a full-service restaurant with assigned seating. At Capital One Landing, there is no traditional seating area, or none of the amenities like showers or massage chairs that travelers have come to expect from the larger Capital One Lounges found at Denver (DEN), Washington Dulles (IAD), and Dallas Ft. Worth (DFW) airports. Here, the focus is on food—upscale, elevated fare that’s worth showing up early for.
Capital One Venture X Rewards and Capital One Venture X Business business card holders can dine at Capital One Landing on a complimentary basis. Capital One Spark Miles for Business and Capital One Venture Rewards card holders can get in for $45 per person, and everyone else is welcome to purchase access for $90 per person.
Whether you purchase access or enjoy the perks of your Capital One Venture X card, the protocol is the same; and there’s no upcharge for anything once you’re in. A host will direct you to a table that’s conveniently outfitted with power outlets and luggage storage space. Then, order whatever you want from the menu with a QR code—Capital One promises to deliver all orders within 20 minutes. The menu revolves around tapas, but there are also rolling carts with an array of delicacies, a complimentary full bar, and a self-service snack and dessert selection.
At 5,500 square feet, Capital One Landing DCA has seating for just a bit over 90 guests. It’s a small space, which is likely to be in high demand. Capital One accepts reservations up to six months in advance. In addition, guests can join the virtual waitlist through the Capital One app, or just turn hope and hope for the best.
Capital One Landing also features a separate grab-and-go kiosk which is located outside the restaurant. Unlike at the larger Capital One lounges, grab-and-go items aren’t complimentary. You can think of the grab-and-go stand as a traditional airport kiosk; it’s expensive, but Capital One card holders receive 50% off the menu.
