Overall ratings
Well the morning Duty Manager looks like most saddest person on earth. No greeting or acknowledged. Busy talking with each other when ever they get time. Food is just ok nothing changed for past 4 months. Duty Manager spoke and all I felt is complaints and made me feel like u have anything to say go and see the management. Has no idea about customer service.
This lounge was fabulous in its previous incarnation, as the Emperor Lounge. It now looks like leftovers from an IKEA sale. Ridiculously basic, sterile environment.
Just went here on my way back home from NZ. The lounge has two sides, with the smaller side having a children’s area with TV playing cartoons and small tables/chairs for them. Wifi was fine and there are TVs displaying flight status.
Bathrooms have showers. Buffet was adequate, with hot food consisting of indian curries and pastas, plus sushi, breads/pastries/muffins, and salads. Self serve liquor, wine, beer, sodas, and juices.
The panorama image of the main area would not upload here so you can see it here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskRvxuQy

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and pictures Patrick!
Basic, quiet and efficient with plenty of room to relax and to take you away from the tedious wait for your flight. Free wifi.
You can buy access for $NZ49 per person if you pre-book on-line or, as I do, gain free entry via Diners Card membership.
The alcoholic drinks selection is more than satisfactory and I always grab a few cans of soft drink for the flight if on a no frills Air NZ option.
The food is adequate and a reasonable buffet style selection.
Have been there first thing in the morning with no one else there and, within a short time, food was brought out freshly prepared – scrambled egg, breakfast sausages, tomatoes, etc.
Have also been there later in the day too and was pleased to see the cheese and crackers and desserts being replenished along with the hot foods as and when needed.
Overall, the lounge isn’t the worst but I question if the price for entry is good value for money.
