The V4 Lounge is located next to check-in island D (International/Hong Kong), on the mezzanine level. An agent checks credentials on the ground floor prior to escorting guests upstairs. Note that patrons are expected to carry their bags up the stairs.

While the overall space is fresh and modern, the facilities are bare and industrial to a fault. Each room comes with a few seats, an air conditioner, a TV, a tea kettle, and a few basic snacks. There are a handful of power outlets along the walls, but not at every seat.
The room for pay-in guests is the least attractive of all with a mere 14 seats placed in an uninspired layout, depressing yellow hues, and a carpet that you wouldn’t want at home. The VIP rooms are slightly better appointed with a more elegant color scheme and additional snacks. However, all rooms suffer from a lack of daylight—the room within a lounge concept means that guests are all equally deprived of natural light.
As typical of Chinese airport lounges, the volume of the TV is turned all the way up, making relaxation, rest or work unlikely endeavors.

Outside the seating areas is a small buffet with soda, tea, and a meager selection of local snacks. Unlike other club, the V4 Lounge does not even provide bottled water, though that may be because bottles cannot be brought through security.
The lounge does not offer a dedicated Wi-Fi access points; patrons are directed to use the airport’s public service, with supports authentication through WeChat and SMS (both local and international numbers are accepted.)
20 to 25 minutes prior to boarding time, an agent fetches guests and escorts them through security. The lounge is connected to both domestic and international dedicated VIP security checkpoints. The process is quick and painless, though all guests require an escort, so if you wish to leave the lounge early, you’ll need to notify the staff ahead of time.
Once through the domestic security checkpoint, guests emerge into the seemingly more inviting Joyflight No. 14 First and Business Class Lounge, where they are promptly ushered out—the club is reserved for airline-invited guests.

The only value of the Joyflight Airport VIP Lounge V4 at Changsha airport is access to a private and speedy VIP security checkpoint. The perk alone typically justifies using the club. Otherwise, the Joyflight lounge offers nothing of value: the snack selection is abysmal, the airport provides free Wi-Fi, and the gate areas are more spacious and better lit.
