The inspiration for the Pride Lounge was the alluring African landscapes, varying from the lush and vibrant rainforests, the calmness and charm of the coast, the serenity of the savannah, and the mystical deserts. The story begins at the main entrance, where guests can experience the layering and weaving within the rainforest with a large graphic wall covering of Kenya’s Kakamega Forest. The coastal theme for the dining area is based on the volumes and voids of the coral reefs, while capturing the architecture of African coastal towns. Inspired by the topography and surging forms of the desert, the napping zone is a quiet and minimalistic space, which creates a relaxing sanctuary that will ensure guests are well rested before their flight. In the enclosed smokers’ area, a slatted bench, which mimics the sand dunes of Egypt, is the focal point of the room. Desert images complement the theme.

Overall ratings
I´m writing this review from of the armchairs at Pride Lounge. I have a pretty long transit between flights (18.00-00.00 hours) and gave Pride Lounge a chance after being pretty disappointed with Executive Lounge at the same airport the last time.
First, I met very kind and friendly staff in the reception and after paying 40 dollars I enjoyed a very nice shower (towel and shower gel etc. included) in one of the two beautifully decorated and clean bathrooms. After the shower I enjoyed a pretty decent dinner with dessert, snacks and a lot of cold beverages. Both cold and hot food, fresh fruit and salad. As soon as I was finished with one meal and went for seconds and came back the previous plate was gone. Good service and clean environment. After the food intake I enjoyed a relaxing nap in the silent “resting room” with comfortable beds and low light. When I woke up I went to one of the many sofas/armchairs that are placed with good distance from each other so I could surf on my computer. Could have enjoyed more power outlets. As of now the shortage of these forced me to choose a less comfortable arm chair so I could charge my computer. I´m actually very happy with this choice. I´m sweating though. I can only agree with other reviews that it is very warm in here. The place would be top notch if only there could have been some AC.
