The Allegris decor is very much in the lineage of the traditional Lufthansa design, though the color palette has slightly evolved, and there is now a staffed bar (in-lieu of a self-service setup.)
The amenities remain substantially the same: comfortable seating, a hot and cold buffet, and fast Wi-Fi. First Class passengers can retire to a dedicated area with restaurant-style table service.
Formerly two separate spaces for Business Class and Senator/Star Alliance Gold customers, the Lufthansa Lounge Newark now functions as a one-class lounge for all eligible passengers. The lounge accommodates 170 guests, a 25% increase compared to the former space.

Overall ratings
Since there is no separate first class lounge, we were assigned an area in the regular lounge that was marked off with brass poles and cords. You can find better things in this area at other airports. We received a la carte service in the marked-off area. The food was very good. The selection of drinks was also very good, but the drink service was a bit strange. I got my white wine in a nice white wine glass. My friend ordered later and got it in a champagne glass. The gentleman next to us then got it later in a water glass. Sure, it can be drunk like that, but it doesn’t show well-trained staff.
Overcrowded with minimal food selections. And what little is there is of poor quality. This lounge is unrecognizable from what Loungereview described above. If the EVA Lounge in Taipei or the Singapore Lounge in Changi are a 10/10, this is a solid 2/10.
What happened to the vaunted Lufthansa Business Class experience?
Nice lounge in terms of ameneties however it gets overcrowded during evening hours and jstaff has a hard time keeping up with cleaning the space and restocking buffet areas.
A solid lounge all around – perhaps a bit small, but the food and beverages make up for it.
