This is a weird lounge layout! The lounge is separated in 2, one side is reserved to business class pax and the other to cardholders (so beware when reading reviews! They are two different experiences!)
Also, the business lounge has separate, cordoned off sections for Etihad and BA. In the case of Etihad they have access to the same food and drinks as others, I do not know about BA.
In general the experience in the business class lounge was pretty good. There’s bar service (with some complimentary pours and more variety at a cost) and a reasonable hot buffet.
The lounge was a pleasant surprise, it’s newly refurbished design was just right on trend, the chairs, flooring, walls and lighting was warm and welcoming. Great view of plane and docking.
The food was average, the noodles served fresh, however the stock had cream and could have been made clear so I could avoid the cream, I asked the server what other soup I could and it was suggested that the veg soup could be a substitute, it was good but am authentic noodle stock would have been better. The green leaves salad was pre-dressed with yogurt, I asked the sever if the chef could cut me leaves without dressing, they obliged without fuss, I dressed with olive oil and balsamic.
The beef teriyaki was good and plenty, rice was fresh and so was the steamed cabbage.
Service was good from serving and kitchen staff – 5 stars to them
Good and clean, staff was helpful and polite, they called the gate several times to check on boarding time.
The lounge was clean and tidy, the atmosphere was peaceful tranquility .
