Overall ratings
This is the only Star Alliance business class lounge in Changi (aside from the even more inferior T2 lounge) and also the flagship hub lounge of Singapore Airlines.
For an airline that touts itself as “world class” this lounge is a travesty. Average for European and American lounges, but nowhere close to the standards of Cathay, Qatar, Centurion, or even Turkish. Heck, in fact the other One World lounges in its own home base are superior to this travesty of a lounge, particularly Qatar and Cathay.
Why? It’s extremely tiny for the passenger loads of Changi, the food is poor quality (large variety but very low quality items both in terms of ingredients and taste), and service is really bad – many staff are outrightly rude, especially the cooks and some cleaning staff.
Fantastic food spread w/ flavors of every type. Drinks and desserts of all kinds. Nice ambience. Plenty of seating at booths, chairs, work stations, etc. Visited on a Friday afternoon. Highly recommend.
Large lounge, but it gets very crowded and noisy, difficult to find seats. Dark design.
Service limited and not overly friendly.
Very disappointing, I wonder why SQ does not have a better lounge in their hub.
Not very convincing food choice, quality not very good
Extremely weak internet connection
That Silver Kris lounge seems to be better in shape than that one in T2; more space and more recently refurbished (?)
Good variety (Asian and Western) of food and beverages.
Presenation is good and there is enough of space.
WiFi did work perfectly, restroom in the lounge area; showers available – no waiting list.
Needs more sockets to plug in the charger.
An excellent lounge overall with a gorgeous buffet. It just gets a bit busy at times.
