The United Club West at Denver airport is one of the airline’s two lounges at their Denver hub. The two clubs, located on either wing of concourse B, are exact mirrors of each other and offer the same amenities.
United Club West DEN design
The entrance is both central and discreet: automatic doors at the center of the concourse reveal a small reception desk and escalators which lead patrons upstairs to the club room.
Denver International Airport is spacious, and the United Clubs are no exception. A grand customer service area above the escalators connects to two large rooms with various seating arrangements conductive to both work and relaxation. The large windows also let plenty of natural light in.
The recent refurbishment has brought new, comfortable designer furniture. Most seats come with a power outlet, side table, and lamp. Counter style seating with power outlets runs along the windows — a treat for laptop users who get front row seats on the beautiful terminal building and ground traffic.
Comfortable egg chairs in the connector hallway in the back between the two rooms offer a comfortable degree of privacy — a tradeoff for the lack of power outlets in the area.
United Club West DEN amenities
A bar is located in one of the larger rooms. Soft drinks, house wine and well drinks are complimentary, while premium drinks may be purchased. The food selection is standard at all United Clubs; continental breakfast is offered in the morning, while patrons will find soups, salads and snacks throughout the day.
The food is tasty and the selection is sufficient for a substantial snack but is no substitute for a meal.
A business center with work cubicles is located next to the bathrooms.
United Club West DEN bottom line
The United Club West at Denver airport is a simple yet relaxing lounge, and the recent renovations have significantly enhanced its appearance and comfort. It’s unfortunate however that United doesn’t offer additional amenities such as showers considering Denver’s position as a major domestic hub.
- The views on the tarmac and main terminal.
- The upgraded furniture.
- The availability of power and USB outlets throughout.
- The fact that United often closes one of the two clubs, forcing patrons to walk to the other side of the terminal.
All food items are complimentary. Soft drinks, house wines and well drinks are complimentary, while premium drinks are available for purchase. All selections and pricing are subject to change.

Overall ratings
I would like to leave no stars…. JUST THE WORST. Had people tell us it was bad but thought we would try. Awful Awful service by some people who don’t seem too happy in their job.
Also….. and they should know this…. we met absolute strangers in Greece and they flew through DIA and used the United Lounge… we were taking about our travels, and they mentioned the extremely poor service by extremely rude people in the United Lounge at DIA. Just wow!
It’s been almost 3 years with only one true United Club for all of DEN. (The pop-up club is fine for picking up a quick snack but NOT a club). That is amazingly crappy! United should be ashamed!
Quite crowded at Thanksgiving and overrun with people. No place to sit very shabby conditions definitely showing it’s age. Quite a contrast when coming from Europe and comparing to the lounge offerings of European partner airlines.
Line took forever to get in because one computer was down. The first person would not accept that I already repurchased a pass. I had a receipt. I was charged again and had to wait in another line to get it sorted out. That woman could not grasp why I was upset and the customer service was poor. Both agents talked over me and I could not finish a sentence. Rude, uninformed, and poor problem solving skills.
Breakfast food included: coffee & other drinks, cereal, whole oranges, yogurt, packets of oatmeal, little boxes of raisins, prepackaged muffins, prepackaged bagels, a prepackaged sticky bun, half a croissant with a leaf of lettuce and chicken salad (chopped chicken with Mayo), and prepackaged little packs of Oreos. Basically vending machine food. Super yucky. I’ll never pay for this service again.
Visited 5pm on a Monday. Sign in front of the lounge said One-Time passes were not being accepted at the moment and front desk agent confirmed that it was too crowded to accept the pass included with my United card. She was polite and suggested I check back in 10 minutes. So I waited right there and sure enough there was a constant stream of people going in and out – agent barely had a moment to go upstairs to check if there were seats. After about 10 minutes there were a few of us waiting and crossing our fingers for access with one time passes, and we did indeed get in! WHEW because the terminal was incredibly crowded and loud.
Sure enough despite the spaciousness of the lounge the crowd level shifted back and forth between maybe 70-90% full. The layout was a bit tricky to navigate, bar and buffet very far apart and restrooms hidden away. View of the tarmac through floor to ceiling windows was nice.
Comfortable furniture, unremarkable but modern, with ample outlets at each seat. WiFi speed only OK.
Bar had so many premium selections that there was a printed menu. The bartenders were polite but so busy that they asked the waiting patrons to form a line instead of standing by a bar seat. Odd! But fine and the bartender gave a generous pour for a well drink.
Small buffet, some snacks, a soup, potato salad, small salad bar, charcuterie, cookies. Tasty, nothing remarkable.
Overall this lounge did the trick of being more restful and quiet than the terminal. Heard that the East lounge has not yet been renovated – yikes – this is a United hub airport, y’all! Would come here again the next time I am in this terminal at Denver but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
Gen quite, food is slowly getting better but nothing compared to centurian or delta
Add: only free beer is coors or bud.
Located well in the concorse

Nothing outstanding, but a quiet place to work or relax with upgraded furniture.
