The United Club at SEA isn’t the fanciest lounge, by far. You won’t find showers, daybeds, or even views of any kind. But it’s sparkling clean, ultra-functional, and there are power outlets everywhere. Most importantly, it is *quiet*. Unlike, well, any other lounge at Sea-Tac. It’s a great place to work or relax away from the crowds.

Catering has dramatically improved in the last few years. There is a salad bar as well as a couple of hot entrees. Plus, Illy espresso and various treats.

The front desk staff is exceptional and they take great care of their Global Services and regular customers.

Breakfast buffet is a stretch. There is oatmeal and loads of carbs available, plus some fresh fruit. I left to get some actual breakfast (eggs! protein of any kind!) from a nearby restaurant and the woman at the front desk told me I couldn’t bring any food back into the club. Whatevs, lady. I’m going to be here for 4 hours and I’m not eating bagels for breakfast. There are two phone booths in this club which were designed by – somebody who apparently has never sat at a desk and talked on the phone. The desk was somewhere between desk and bar height, but the chair was a standard height office chair. The worst of all though was THE SOUND! I could hear the guy next to me loud and clear as well as every conversation of every person coming in and out of the club. Yes, there were walls and a (glass) door. No, they might as well not have been there. This place is just poorly designed, and naturally every club I’ve been to outside the U.S. is much better in terms of food.

The lounge features a nice and modern interior and offers a good amount of seating with only few guests present when I was there. Sunday morning though…

The breakfast selection is very modest. Beverages can only be had at the bar. For premium drinks you have to pay even when holding an international First Class Ticket. This is not good.

Free WIFI and some newspapers. Nice and clean restrooms.

The interior seemed nice and bright. I received a good welcome from the front desk.

They could not even offer bottles of water. I wanted one to take on the plane and they said that they didn’t offer any. The only options on food were some small bagels, yogurt and bananas. Very disappointing and limited food choice.

A brand new lounge showcasing United’s latest design. A rather reasonable facility for Seattle, however amenities are basic as in all United Clubs.
