Yes, it’s often crowded, but it’s such a convenient location for T3, the cubicles are always quiet, and I’m always happily surprised at their consistent offering of at least one vegan option in the buffet.

Not sure why the ratings are so low. The lounge is very spacious and pretty well decorated. The food is not as good as the Centurion Lounge, but it has more dessert variety. It has a nice Noodle Bar too. I’d recommend this lounge.

The United Club SFO at the F gates hasn’t changed much since the 80s. It’s a pretty sad state of affairs overall, especially at peak times. United is falling behind the competition on the domestic side (the Polaris lounge for international business class passengers, on the other hand, is fantastic.)

That said, the food selection has substantially improved – there’s even a hot buffet nowadays. And the quiet area behind the bar and bathroom is a haven – there’s a bright and airy room with tarmac views, and plenty of work cubicles in the adjacent area.

Hopefully United will refurbish this club soon. Then again a closure would only make the situation worse in the short term.

Sucks. SFO lounges, unless you upgrade to Polaris, are so bad they aren’t worth the price! Everything is extra at the bar, sans Coors and Budweiser. Their beer selection for purchase sucks too! I can’t believe I pay this much for a membership and get this crap. Bad food selection, worst I’ve ever had-actually. And the bartender has such a bad attitude. He should be anything else in life, I can’t believe he gets away with being this rude to people. WORST bartender ever.

I had a 11 hour layover after a long flight from Seoul, Korea and was hoping I could relax in the comfort of the lounge. However, the state of this lounge, food choices of quality and other amenities or pitiful compared to most lounges I stay at in Europe or Asia.
On my trips I regularly stay in lounges managed by Lufthansa, British Airlines, Singapore airlines, Cathay, Hong Kong airlines, Emirates, etc. and never experienced this sad state of affairs when it comes to food and general comfort/amenities. It`s a testament to the sad state of affairs in the U.S. Airline industry which, after running every single company into the ground, has decided to stop investing in service/comfort and nickel and dime customers for everything. So, whenever I have a different airline and lounge choice I book with other companies than United or other U.S. Airlines. But this lounge was a huge disappointment and shock after coming back from a long trip in Europe and Asia, where the level of service is consistently much, much higher. I just hope on the end service for customers wins.

The only good options were the same bad soup, stale crackers, some hummus and a few condiments – they kept bringing the same tasteless food all day. The only beverage choices were fountain drinks. If you wanted an alcoholic drink, including domestic beers, you had to pay. I have not experienced this anywhere else other than the U.S. And in some U.S. airline lounges.

Busy, crowded and outdated lounge. Not very comfortable seating. It`s functional at best.

This is absolutely accurate review, even today. United Club, especially in SFO is worst ever! their Houston Lounges are better, though. They should consider changing the staff and whoever managing this Lounge, to regain their lost reputation, in my view.

    A solid three stars.
