Overview
Remodeled in February 2021, the Virgin Australia Lounge at Adelaide airport sports a fresh new design conceived by WMK Architecture, that will serve as the blueprint of future Virgin Australia lounges nationwide.

With a casual vibe, a modern color palette, designer furniture, and indoor greenery, the new design embraces the ethos of the Virgin brand. The space is open and airy, with seating for over 280 guests.

In true modern form, Virgin Australia has branded the different zones with enticing names.  At the Sunroom, patrons will enjoy panoramic tarmac views. At the Gallery Lounge, guests can relax and catch the latest TV programs, The Long Stay is located in a slightly more secluded area. The Library is the modern equivalent of the business center and features self-service PCs and printers.

Food and beverages are accessible from the touch of a smartphone. Patrons can use a QR code to order barista-pulled coffee, or, after noon, a selection of wines, beers, and ciders. The food selection includes snacks, sandwiches, and wraps, and caters to vegetarians and omnivores alike.

Guests who wish to freshen up will find spacious shower suites with rain showers and Hunter Lab bath products.

  • Virgin Australia Lounge members departing on a same-day Virgin Australia flight (+1 guest)
  • Virgin Australia Velocity Platinum members departing on a same-day Virgin Australia flight (+3 guests)
  • Virgin Australia Velocity Platinum members arriving on a same-day Virgin Australia flight (+3 guests)
  • Virgin Australia Velocity Gold members departing on a same-day Virgin Australia or partner airline flight (+1 guest)
  • Virgin Australia Velocity Gold members arriving on a same-day Virgin Australia or partner airline flight (subject to space availability) (+1 guest)
  • All Virgin Australia passengers, up to two hours prior to flight departure, for a $65 fee
  • Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold members departing on a same-day Virgin Atlantic flight (+1 guest)
  • Delta Medallion Gold, Platinum and Diamond passengers departing on a same-day Virgin Australia flight (+1 guest)
  • Etihad Guest Gold and Platinum passengers departing on a same-day Virgin Australia flight (+1 guest)

Notes:

  • Guests do not need to be travelling with Virgin Australia.
  • Virgin Australia Lounge and Velocity Platinum and Gold members can bring up to two children aged 3 to 12 years in addition to their guest allowance at no cost. There is no charge for infants 2 years old and under.

    Top shelf service. My partner and I were separated when we checked in online and all seats were taken so we couldn’t get us together. Mentioned this to a virgin rep at the terminal check in.

    They couldn’t have tried harder to help. By the time we got to the Virgin lounge Alana had found another traveler and persuaded him to swap seats.

    Thank you Alana and crew. That was amazing service!
